GreenBox — Infrastructure, Automation, Knowledge, Mapping, Operations

GreenBox

Infrastructure • Automation • Knowledge • Mapping • Operations

GreenBox is an independently engineered infrastructure platform built to explore how real systems can be integrated, operated, recovered, documented, and improved as one coherent environment.

What GreenBox Is

GreenBox combines multiple computers, operating systems, services, applications, networks, storage systems, and user experiences into a managed technical environment. A primary control plane coordinates central services while additional nodes provide distributed workloads and platform capabilities.

Infrastructure & Operations

Linux and Windows administration, fleet visibility, DNS, networking, secure remote access, service hosting, health monitoring, backup and recovery, and controlled operational workflows.

Knowledge & Documentation

A structured knowledge environment brings together project documentation, service references, MediaWiki content, offline resources, technical evidence, and searchable engineering history.

Maps & Field

GreenBox Maps and GreenBox Field explore navigation, route-aware information, offline-first knowledge, field usability, communications, and touch-friendly user experiences.

Engineering Principles

  • Verify before modifying.
  • Back up before changing production state.
  • Prefer small, reversible changes.
  • Separate intended architecture from observed operational state.
  • Use automation with explicit preflight, validation, evidence, and rollback.
  • Preserve one source of authority instead of creating competing inventories.
  • Document enough context that future troubleshooting does not begin from zero.

Technologies & Areas of Work

Ubuntu and Linux • Windows • Apache • MariaDB / MySQL • Python • PHP • WordPress • MediaWiki • virtualization • storage • Samba / directory services • DNS • Tailscale • identity and SSO • Docker • Nextcloud • monitoring • backup and recovery • web application integration • automation

Architecture & Documentation

Selected architecture diagrams, screenshots, implementation notes, and sanitized GreenBox Wiki material will be published here as portfolio-safe copies are prepared. Internal management endpoints, credentials, private network details, and administrative documentation remain private.
